Is Your Company Seeking To Be COR Certified?
Is your company seeking COR certification? If so, look no further than Crane Tech. Over the years, we’ve helped many companies successfully achieve COR certification — in part because we handle the required  inspections with precision and professionalism. In fact, COR auditors realize our techs are knowledgeable and competent with all equipment that needs a safety inspection. COR stands for Certificate of Recognition (a safety standard – often associated with IHSA here in Ontario Canada). Over the years, we’ve inspected equipment and cranes for numerous companies that hold COR certification. Chances are, you’ve seen the bumper stickers, right? The ones that say “IHSA COR” are common on service vehicles across the province. In fact, they’ve become a familiar sight in Ontario’s construction and service sectors. Ultimately, COR is a recognized safety standard, It shows that your workers are trained, and equipment is certified. That’s where we come in. During the audit process, companies must inspect all equipment in use. In most cases, we’ve already performed inspections on jib cranes and bridge cranes. However, COR also requires racking and shelving to be reviewed. Racking usually requires simple updates. For instance, Lagging or bolting legs to floors or concrete, Safety clips added to cross beams, Load rating decals, Levelling and repairs if required etc. Most of these issues are repairable by your maintenance people. Alternatively, we can look after everything for you. Keep in mind, unsafe racking can be catastrophic. Overloaded shelving may trigger a domino effect—and it can get nasty. Especially, live-loaded racks (those actively loaded/unloaded by forklifts) pose greater hazards than static racks storing parts and equipment. Whether you need COR or not, a periodic inspection of your racking can prevent serious safety incidents. Call us for racking inspections. If you need COR or not an infrequent look at your racking can save you from a safety incident. At Crane Tech save you money. Using Crane Tech keeps your workers safe.
