Crane Safety Training
Crane Tech Services does more than just inspect and repair lifting devices, we also provide Crane Safety Training.
In a busy fabrication shop with multiple workers, safety with the use of cranes is important.
Every worker has pride in the work that they perform each and every day, so we ensure they are fully certified at what they do!
Did you know that Crane Tech Services has established a 4 tier qualification system in order to help identify risk and categorize workers?! It’s called the Q Matrix.
We have ensured that this system follows recognized standards in Crane Safety Training.
Firstly, we start the workers at Q-1 and add a recognized label to the workers hard hat. This helps the shop to identify and protect the newly trained worker.
The next step is the Q-2, where the worker is released to specific lifting activities.
Following that is the Q-3, which is full release for the worker to use all cranes.
Finally, the Q-4 is master in class, enabling the worker to sign off on Critical Lifts (75% of Rated Crane Loads).
This system comes complete with work contracts that workers sign off on.
It also comes with worker responsibilities that they sign off on. No more telling supervisors that “I did not know that”.
To make this training even more compatible, there are recommendations for Human Resource and Safety Coordinators that help to upgrade and downgrade qualifications.
Too add to this, if checks in this system are integrated, workers can be taken to task should a rule be broken and a major incident be the fault of that worker.
Remember that safety is at the forefront. Safety of all workers is equivalent of making sure workers not doing their job is a part of the system. This results in the improvement of discipline.
At Crane Tech we save you money. When you think of incident costs, our training is an economical and normal cost of doing business.
