Everything you want to know about Scissor Lifts

Scissor Lift Inspections
Scissor lifts are a very common way for working at heights. This equipment has revolutionized convenience of installations and maintenance for all types of workers. Also too workers are much safer when using a scissor lift then the typical ladder device. Crane Tech has been certifying aerial lift platforms for many years, which we know scissor lifts are. They’re required to be inspected on annual basis and require a structural inspection every 10 year and then every five years after that. Our customers often ask us why our local Simcoe County competitors charge for an annual inspection and a structural inspection when ours cover both. We aren’t sure why, but we know that in our customer service advantage we want to make it as easy and affordable as possible for you. We are right now in the middle of being certified to teach the Working at Heights curriculum created by the Government of Ontario to maintain safety while working at heights. Some other things you might not know about scissor lifts… They are stable and convenient. Most are energy-efficient and really easy to operate. They take up a small amount of space compared to a zoom boom. With low maintenance it makes them an equipment that is easy to maintain and low fees to service. Sometimes their batteries need to be flipped out, but it’s an easy fix. If you are taking care of your scissor lift, it will last you a long time. You can easily fix them up and parts are usually available quite readily. PS: Did you know we own a scissor lift and our customers can rent it form us (as long as it’s in the GTA), which makes it super easy and affordable for them!
